Well, it's official - I'm a smut author now! I wanted to put together this website as a central hub for my work, but I've honestly been putting it off for as long as possible. Like everything else in life (but especially writing) a blank canvas is the most intimidating thing in the world, which was a big reason for why I haven't put more work into this yet. So, just to get things rolling, here's my first post.
Just to introduce myself, you can call me B, R, B.R., Weller, Beef Wellington, Big Randy, Brittany Rears, Well Stuffed, or pretty much anything else you can think of so long as you make it clear you're referring to me. Preferably make it a pun with some kind of sexual innuendo or alliteration and we'll get along swimmingly. I'm a mid 20s bisexual without a strong preference on pronouns. I've thought about getting involved in "sexual content creation" for a long time and I've been told that my brain is the second sexiest part of my body. The first is my calves, but it's hard to build an entire brand around just that, so I went with smut! I've written conventional fiction in the past, but I'm not one to publish and tell, so we'll have to get to know each other a bit better before I share my other pen-names ;)
While I've mostly stuck to fantasy and sci-fi in the past, I wanted to branch out to try some more contemporary genres for a change. I'll probably wrap back around to those with my smut eventually too, but for now we're writing about a free-use office. Writing for myself and my fellow bisexuals, I approach every character with the attitude of "bi until explicitly stated otherwise" and really enjoy exploring themes related to discovering and understanding that identity. I aim for strong, character driven stories because even though we're all here to get off, that doesn't mean we can't also make art along the way.
As far as kinks go, I put a heavy emphasis on BDSM elements - especially dom/sub relationships, exhibitionism, and degradation - and prefer to portray them in as realistic and healthy ways as possible. To me, the act of dominating or submitting to another person has to come from a place of care and respect on both sides to truly be hot. The eroticism comes from the subversion of that care, putting on an act that goes contrary to how you would conventionally express those feelings. It's something that is far too often missing from smut, so I really aim to fill in some of the gaps where I can.
Well, I can get into other things as time goes on, but I thing this is a perfect start to what will hopefully be a long and pleasant journey for all of us.
